Single Serving Recipes

 

Summer  

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

2 oz. Rosé Wine

¼ oz. Agave Nectar

2 oz. Fresh Berries in Season

2 Lemon Wedges

Club Soda

Muddle berries, lemon and agave in shaker. Add ice, moonshine and rosé. Shake hard and strain into empty Collins glass. Add ice and top with club soda. Berry garnish.

 

Pickle Front

3 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

¼ oz. Dry Vermouth

¼ oz. Your Favorite Pickle Juice

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into chilled coupe or martini glass. Garnish with your favorite pickle.


Moon-Hee-Toe

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

3 Lime Wedges

6-7 leaves of Fresh Mint

2 teaspoons Sugar

Club Soda

Muddle mint, sugar and lime in shaker.  Add moonshine and ice. Shake hard and dump with shaker ice into pint glass. Top with club soda.

 

Double Dutch

3 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

Large Ice Cube

Heavy Double Rocks Glass

(optional) Bitters

(optional) Lemon/Lime/Orange Peel

(optional) Cigar

 

Moongroni

1 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Campari

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

3 Shakes ProhiBitters

Stir and strain over large ice cube in double rock glass. Orange peel garnish.

 

Limoon

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

½ oz. Limoncello

½ oz. Cointreau

½ oz. Fresh Lime

Shake and strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange peel.


Apple of My Eye

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Calvados

½ oz. Apple Juice

3 slices Cucumber

Muddle cucumber in shaker. Add ice and liquids. Shake vigorously, then strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with cucumber slice.


Watermelmoon

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Watermelon Juice (or ½ cup Watermelon)

½ oz. Elderflower Liqueur

2 Lime Wedges

Muddle Lime and watermelon (if not juiced) in shaker. Add liquor and shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into chilled martini glass, and garnish with a small slice of watermelon.


The Coin

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

¼ oz. Cointreau

1 oz. Lime Juice

½ oz. Agave

Shake all ingredients with ice. Then strain into chilled, half salted martini glass. Garnish with lime twist.


Ginger Mint Lemonade

1½ oz. Ginger Infused Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine (see infusion recipe below!)

1 oz. Lemon Juice

1 oz. Simple Syrup

5-6 Mint Leaves

Soda Water

Lemon-Lime Soda

Gently muddle mint in the bottom of shaker. Add all non-carbonated ingredients and ice, then shake vigorously. Strain into a pint glass full of ice. Top with a splash of soda water and a splash of lemon lime soda. Garnish with lemon wheel and mint sprig.

For Ginger Infusion: Add 1 bottle of Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine and 1 cup fresh grated ginger into a quart mason jar. Keep in a cool dark place, shaking every couple days for a week. If it’s not strong enough, add more ginger!


Summer Rose Sangria

1½ oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

2 oz. Dry Rose Wine

2-3 tbsp. Berries (anything goes: Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry, Blackberry…)

2 Lemon Wedges

Muddle berries and lemon. Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into tall Collins or pint glass. Top with ice and club soda. Garnish with mint.


Dutchess County Sling

1½ oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Pimms

¾ oz. Lime Juice

¾ oz. Simple Syrup

6 Mint Leaves

Put all ingredients in shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Dump into pint glass and top with soda. Garnish with mint and cucumber wheel.


Mooningway Daquiri

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

½ oz. Maraschino Liqueur

½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice

½ oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice

 Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.


Dutch’s Bloody Mary

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine (see infusion recipes below!)

4 oz. Bloody Mary Mix

Build in glass over ice. Pour back and forth into a shaker to mix the drink but not to water it. Garnish with lemon, olive, pickles… the sky is the limit!

Sweet infusion: In a quart jar, add 1 bottle Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine, 6 basil leaves, small chopped red peper, and 1-2 chopped shallots. Keep in a cool dark place and shake every couple days for 5-7 days.

Hot infusion: In a quart jar, add 1 bottle Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine, 1 tablespoon toasted mixed peppercorns, 1 whole habanero pepper, 1 serrano pepper (halved), 1 jalapeno pepper (halved), 1 cherry bomb pepper (halved). Keep in a cool dark place and shake every couple days for 5-7 days. Adjust this recipe up or down to taste. If it’s too hot, just add more Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine. Not hot enough, add more peppers. The heat in a pepper can vary greatly!


The Big Apple

1½ oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

½ oz. Apple Liqueur

1/8 oz. Dry Vermouth

1½ oz. Apple Cider

Combine all ingredients in shaker and shake. Strain into chilled martini glass that is rimmed with cinnamon/sugar. Float a piece of dried apple for garnish.


Espresso Martini

1 oz. Cold Espresso or Coffee

1 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Vanilla Vodka

½ oz. Irish Cream

Shake all ingredients vigorously and strain into a chilled martini glass half rimmed with sugar in the raw.  Garnish with shaved chocolate when possible!


SPF 60

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

¾ oz. Coconut Milk

¾ oz. Coconut Water

½ oz. Agave

Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice. Rim chilled martini glass with sugar using lime juice. Strain into chilled, rimmed glass.


Meyer Lemon Cosmo

2½ oz. Meyer Lemon Infused Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine (see infusion recipe below!)

½ oz. Cointreau

1 oz. Cranberry Juice

½ oz. Lime Juice

Shake, and then strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with lemon twist.

Meyer Lemon Infusion: In a quart jar, add 1 bottle Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine and the juice and zest of 5-6 meyer lemons. Keep in a cool dark place and shake every couple days for 7 days.


Lillet Mojito

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1½ oz. Lillet Blanc

½ oz. Lime Juice

6-7 Mint Leaves

2 teaspoons Raw Sugar

Muddle sugar and mint leaves in shaker with lime juice. Add liquor, and fill shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and dump into pint glass. Top with ice and soda water. Garnish with lime twist.


Moon Gibson

3 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

½ oz. Dry Vermouth

Stir and strain into chilled martini glass with 3 pickled onions.


Brunch

1 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Lillet Blanc

1 oz. Orange Juice

Shake and strain into wine glass over ice. Top with soda and garnish with an orange slice.


Brunch- Part 2

1¼ oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1¼ oz. Campari

2 oz. Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice

¼ oz. Dutch’s ProhiBitters

Shake moonshine, Campari, and bitters. Strain into wine glass or tall collins glass and top with ice and juice. Garnish with grapefruit twist.


Wooden Head

1 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Dark Rum

1 oz. Orange Juice

1 oz. Pineapple Juice

1 oz. Cranberry Juice

Shake and dump into a wine glass. Garnish with cherry, orange, and lime.


City Sprite

1½ oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Lillet Blanc

3 shakes Orange Bitters

6-7 Mint Leaves

Muddle bitters and mint leaves in shaker. Add liquor and fill shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into tall Collins glass. Top with ice and soda water. Garnish with orange twist.


There’s a Spritz in our Midst

1½ oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

3 oz. Sparkling Wine

2 tbsp. Berries

3 Mint Leaves

Lemon wedge

Muddle berries, mint leaves, and lemon. Shake with moonshine and strain into wine glass. Top with ice and sparkling wine. Garnish with mint leaf.


Spring Moon

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Lime Juice

½ oz. Agave Nectar

3 Lime Wedges

3 slices Jalapeno Pepper

Pinch Salt

Muddle lime wedges, pepper, and agave.  Add moonshine, lime juice and salt.  Shake, then strain over new ice into a rocks glass.  Garnish with a lime wedge.


Spicy Moonrita

1½ oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

¾ oz. Cointreau

¾ oz. Ancho Reyes Liqueur

1½ oz. Lime Juice

½ oz. Lemon Juice

¾ oz. Honey Syrup (equal parts honey and water)

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain over fresh ice in a 16 oz. mason jar with a half salted rim.


Thyme for a Gimlet

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

1 oz. Lime Juice

Club Soda

2-3 sprigs Thyme

4 Cucumber Wheels

Muddle cucumber and thyme with lime juice. Add moonshine and ice. Shake and strain over new ice in a wine glass or tall Collins glass and top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with thyme.


The Grape Moonsby

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

½ oz. Verjus or White Grape Juice

1 Lemon Wedge

6-7 Spearmint Leaves

Prosecco

Muddle mint and lemon wedge in shaker. Add ice, moonshine and verjus or juice and shake vigorously. Strain onto fresh ice in tall Collins glass and top with prosecco. Garnish with spearmint and frozen grape.

Note: to make frozen grape spears, put 5 grapes on a wooden pick and freeze.


Moon Collins

2 oz. Dutch’s Sugar Wash Moonshine

4 oz. Club Soda

Lemon Wedge

Build drink in Collins glass full of ice. Squeeze lemon and enjoy.
